303

British trio 303 are the UK's latest girl group bringing back "the mesmerising old-school soulfulness in the form of their debut single Whisper". The band is made up of three teens, Chloe, Io and Maddie who released their debut single last year. Signed to Hot Spring Music, Whisper is reminiscent of US group 3LW, who the girls also do a great cover of their hit No More (Baby Imma Do It Right). Whisper is their only release so far however, in a Chart Show TV interview late last year, the group expressed they had been working on many tracks in the studio. The girls have a few live appearances to look out for this year including one being hosted by Clash Magazine.

Jens

jens, in lower case, is the latest male pop star you need to have on your radar. The music industry has been filled with many talented Scandinavian stars, mostly female but jens is representing for the males. The Norweigan singer is the perfect blend of Charlie Puth and Shawn Mendes if we had to put him in a box. With only three releases released last year, his streaming stats boast over a million and it doesn't seem to be slowing down. His latest release this year Any Other Way has been included on Spotify's New Pop Revolution playlist. Signed to Universal Music, his debut release Mixtape showed a lot of promise from the start.

no rome

Signed to Dirty Hit Records and The 1975's latest support act on their huge UK arena tour, you might have already heard of No Rome. His debut EP RIP Indo Hisashi, released last year features his most well-known song to date Narcissist which features The 1975. Matty Healy called The Manila-based singer and producer “his muse” which can't be a bad thing at all. No Rome's aesthetically pleasing music videos and hyper-modern beats is just a little taste of what he has to offer us. If you like indie-pop and what some would say hipster type music, then this guy is your new fave!

Bang bang Romeo

They have already supported Lily Allen and have been announced as P!nks support act on her summer European stadium tour, Bang Bang Romeo are making sure they will be noticed. John Giddings from Isle Of Wight Festival said they had the "Biggest crowd for an opening act on the main stage in the history of the festival". NME have praised them saying "The Sheffield four-piece are making waves with their seering and soulful take on blues tinged rock." With a UK tour selling out for February, expect to see and hear of this band a lot.

Kasai

West London singer, Kasai released her debut single Pretty Boys last summer featuring US rapper Joey Bada$$ that didn't get left unnoticed. The fuck-boy anthem is like a modern-day take on TLC's iconic No Scrubs. Her follow up song, Habit has already created more buzz getting plays on the UK's biggest radio station, BBC Radio 1 as well as their sister station 1xtra. The soulful star was included in the Daily Stars '15 Who'll Shine In 2019' list and we couldn't agree more. In an interview with Wonderland Magazine, Kasai expressed she's been working really hard on her music and can't wait to release more. We can't wait to hear it!

ILIRA

The last few years have seen the music industry being flooded by Albanian female pop stars. Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa, Ava Max now have a new queen to join their thrown and her name is ILIRA. Her single with Alle Farben is currently number one on the German airplay chart and is becoming a European smash. Signed to FOUR/Sony Music, the singer has been working on her debut album for two years in LA, London, and Berlin. Her latest release GET OFF MY D!CK has smash hit written all over it and it's Spotify stats of over two million within a month of its release prove that. It's only a matter of time until ILIRA is all over the radio and music channels with her infectious pop tunes and we were here to tell you about it first. No problem.

Alice Chater

Alice's Spotify bio starts with "Pocket rocket pop newcomer Alice Chater is aiming high" which pretty sums it up. At an early stage in her career, Chater is already playing sold-out headline shows with full production in club type venues. Her artistic music videos and songs so far are at a standard where some established acts are yet to achieve. Her latest offering Theif is an all-around pop perfection song that sounds like a hit regardless of the outcome. Wonderland (My Name Is Alice) is a hypnotizing track, reminiscent of Gaga's early days. Her other songs Hourglass and Heartbreak Hotel are very disco influenced showing her versatility. She can belt it out and give you up-tempo bangers. Signed to Virgin Records in the UK and Capitol Records in the US, Alice could be the new generations new Lady Gaga or Katy Perry to obsess over.

Songs to check out: Hourglass, Theif

LOVA

Sweden's own LOVA is a breath of fresh air. Her debut EP Scripted Reality was a great introduction to the singer last year which included the incredibly catchy You Me And The Silence which remains her most successful track. Her latest offering My Name Isn't released at the beginning of this year shows a more sassy side to the rising star. The track has a similar vibe to Tove Styrke's last album Sway which can only be a compliment. Signed to her home countries Universal label, we're sure LOVA is going to break out even more this year.

mouse

KALTBLUT and BBC Introducing are expecting big things and so are we for this singer from Bristol. Mouse is no means quiet but in fact a bold artist visually and sonically. Having already performed live on a lot of stages including one Dua Lipa had her support her on, Mouse has been writing songs since the age of eight. Her debut solo release last year 3 Weeks has quite a mid-tempo and soft production while her 2019 follow-up Escape is quite the opposite. Mouse's versatility and wild choice of production are what makes her stand out from the rest. She featured on ANKI's track Our Escape which is quite the dreamy EDM banger all in one.

Songs to check out: Escape, 3 Weeks

Stephen Puth

It's very easy to fall into the background and be considered just a sibling to your successful family member but there is no signs of Stephen Puth doing that with his debut release Sexual Vibe. His brother Charlie might be great at writing and creating great pop songs but that's all these two seem to have in common so far. Sexual Vibe has a slightly retro feel to it but his dark deep tone vocal sets the song apart from your average pop song about liking someone. Signed to Arista Records, we can't hear what else this guy has up is sleeve!
